Diaphragm valve structure classification
Diaphragm valves can be divided into six types according to the structure: house type, direct current type, cut-off type, straight-through type, gate type and right angle type; the connection form is usually flange connection; according to the driving method, it can be divided into manual, electric and pneumatic. Among them, the pneumatic drive is divided into three types: normally open, normally closed and reciprocating.
(1) Roof type (å °)
Also known as the flange type, it is the most basic one commonly used code (G41). Its structure is shown in the figure below. As can be seen from the figure, the valve body is lined. The diaphragm valve body lining is designed to better exert its corrosion resistance.
Such a structure, in addition to the straight-through type, can also be made into a right angle type, as shown in the following figure:
Straight-through stop valve
Its structural shape is similar to the stop valve, see the following figure;
This type of diaphragm valve has a larger fluid resistance than a ridged diaphragm valve, but has a large sealing area and good sealing performance, and is suitable for pipes with high vacuum.
DC gate valve
Its structure is similar to the gate valve, as shown below
The ram type diaphragm valve has the lowest fluid resistance and is suitable for conveying viscous materials.
The diaphragm material is commonly used in natural rubber, neoprene, nitrile rubber, butyl rubber, fluorinated rubber and polyfluoroethylene propylene plastic (F46).
The disadvantage of the diaphragm valve is that the pressure is not high, generally within 6kgf/cm2 (0.6MPa); the temperature resistance is also limited by the diaphragm, generally only resistant to 60~80 °C, the highest (fluorinated rubber) does not exceed 180 °C .
