In the design process of the NC6110G-22 diesel engine, the UG modeling specification is strictly implemented, and the quality of the control model can meet the following basic requirements:

* Correctness: The model should accurately reflect the design intent and there must be no ambiguity in understanding the technical requirements of its content. * Reliability: The model passed the geometric quality check of UG, the topological relationship is correct, the entity is strictly handed over, there is no void inside, no external seams, no small steps. The model file size is effectively controlled. The model does not contain redundant features, empty groups, and other expired features, and can always be opened correctly under any circumstances.

The NC6110G-22 diesel engine digital prototype is shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3. Application of UG NX3 to build NC6110G-22 digital prototype, can directly reflect the product structure; can accurately obtain the weight of parts; can easily check the interference of components; can automatically generate 2D, 3D related drawings .

Through the successful implementation of UG NX3 3D CAD project, our company has won the honorary title of “3D CAD Application Demonstration Enterprise” in Jiangxi Province, which provides a powerful driving force for enterprises to further expand CAD application and accelerate the pace of enterprise informationization.

5. Further prospects for the construction of information technology in Kaima Nanchai

UG NX3 is an integrated high-end software that is tightly integrated with CAD/CAE/CAM/PLM. To be proficient in UG NX3, you must go through the necessary technical training and practical exercises. The 3D CAD project should also be gradually improved according to the guiding ideology of “demand traction, benefit-driven, overall planning, and step-by-step implementation”.

The 3D model of the component and the virtual assembly model are the basis of the product digital prototype. The motion simulation analysis, structural mechanics analysis, advanced rendering, CAM and manageable digital development environment (PLM) will expand the direction of Kaima Nanchai technology information construction. It helps to solve the technical problems of components from design to production, so as to shorten the product development cycle, reduce production costs and optimize product performance.

6. The enlightenment of the project

UG NX3 3D CAD software in the NC6110G-22 diesel engine application is a very meaningful attempt by our company to use advanced software technology to improve work efficiency and work quality, making the design work vivid, intuitive and efficient. At present, 3D CAD software has been used more and more widely in mechanical design. We have not used 3D CAD software for a long time, and there are still many places to improve. Through the implementation of the project, we have the following experience:

* The principle of pre-standard design should be followed.
* The 3D model is the core data of UG NX3 and should be modeled on the principle of the main model.
* Everything is product-centric and chooses CAD software with a wide range of industry users.
* The software implementation is gradual, and the corresponding software modules are purchased according to the implementation phase.
