The prototype of the device is a leg support strap that has been modified to convert the kinetic energy generated by each knee flexion into electrical energy to power the artificial heart. It is worth mentioning that the prototype of this device is not the first time. Similar products have appeared a few years ago. After years of hard work, the third generation model can finally rely on walking to generate electricity.

The R&D team said that this generation of prototypes is lighter and more wearable than before. And the current version is extremely comfortable and can be worn for long periods of time. From the current situation, this modified leg support equipment has achieved staged success. Soon after, the team is expected to add a system that converts energy into electricity and can be directly converted to storage in lithium-ion batteries.

Only the Farmers team is not satisfied, and in the future they hope to be able to supply power to the artificial heart by wireless transmission.
