Prof. Ma Yuming, State Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials, Jilin University, entered the list of China's highly cited scholars in 2014

Recently, Elsevier and Shanghai Soft Science Education Information Consulting Co., Ltd. released the list of China's highly cited scholars in 2014. Professor Ma Yuming, the State Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials of Jilin University, was selected for the list of physics and astronomy. Being selected as a high-cited scholar list means that it has world-class influence in its research field, and its scientific research achievements have made great contributions to the development of this field.

It is reported that the research data of the 2014 China Highly Cited Scholars List comes from the Scopus database of Elsevier. Scopus is the world's largest peer-reviewed academic paper index summary database, providing a large number of literature, authors and research institutions related to research activities, making it possible to scientifically analyze and evaluate the world influence of Chinese scholars.

The list makers screened the authors of papers from mainland Chinese institutions from Scopus, and calculated their distribution among different disciplines. The quotas of each subject were calculated according to the total number of 2,000 people, and then filtered out according to the corresponding quotas in various disciplines. The author or first author published a list of the highest ranked authors. After excluding the authors of the current work unit from non-Chinese mainland institutions, and the authors who have never published the first 1% of the world's papers and the paper's standardization influence is less than 1, the producers have drawn a total of 1651 fields in 38 fields.
