Septicemia: The most acute cases often occur in the early stages of the epidemic, often without any symptoms in the first night, and died the next morning. Meningitis type: more common in suckling piglets and weaned piglets, body temperature 40.5 ° C ~ 42.5 ° C, no food, constipation, pulpy or sticky nasal fluid, high extremity stepping, limbs uncoordinated, turning molars, back edema, 1~ 2 Days of death, long up to 3 to 5 days.
Arthritis type: transferred from the first two types, or symptoms of arthritis from the beginning. It manifests as swelling of one limb or several joints, pain, and even failure to stand.
Most of the above three cases occur in a mixture, or occur one after another, rarely happening alone.
prevention
Vaccination: Immunization with Streptococcus suis aluminum hydroxide bacillus or Streptococcus suis attenuated vaccine. The infected area is immunized once at 60 days of age, and then immunized once every spring and autumn.
Drug prevention: Add 4 to 5 grams of tetracycline per ton of feed, and feed for 4 to 6 weeks, which has a preventive effect.
treatment
In the case of local abscess, the fish stone fat ointment is applied to accelerate the maturation and softening, and the pus is cut open. At the same time, intramuscular injection of sodium camphorsulfonate, dipyrone, vitamin C; penicillin, 20,000 units per kilogram of body weight; streptomycin, 20 mg per kilogram of body weight, intramuscular injection, 2 times a day for 3 days; 20% sulfadiazine Sodium injection, 10~20kg body weight, 5~10ml; adult pig 20~30ml, intramuscular injection, 2 times a day for 2~3 days; gentamicin per kilogram body weight 3000 units, intramuscular injection, each 2 times a day, for 3 days; ciprofloxacin 50 mg per kilogram body weight, orally, 2 times a day, even for 5 days; neomycin, 50 mg per kilogram body weight, fed in a feed, even for 5 days 5% glucose saline injection 500 ml, vitamin C injection 10 ml, intravenous injection.
