LED industry welcomes incandescent lamps after 5 years or completely disappears
On August 8, the National Development and Reform Commission issued a draft of the “China Roadmap for Eliminating Incandescent Lampsâ€, proposing a step-by-step implementation step from this year, and completely eliminating ordinary incandescent lamps by 2016. At present, LED energy-saving lamps are mainly used for commercial lighting and municipal buildings, and the civilian market is still in the promotion stage. If the incandescent lamp can be eliminated within five years, the LED lamp market will be doubled as the best alternative.
However, the road map published by the National Development and Reform Commission did not mention fluorescent lamps. Peng Wenda, a professor at the Institute of Electronics Technology of Shenzhen University and secretary general of the Shenzhen Optical Society, said that incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps consume electricity, especially fluorescent lamps, which are more harmful to the environment. In the long run, fluorescent lamps should also be phased out.
Energy-saving lamps replace incandescent lamps to save a lot of power
The National Development and Reform Commission said that China is a big producer and consumer of incandescent lamps. In 2010, the output of incandescent lamps and domestic sales were 3.85 billion and 1.07 billion respectively. According to estimates, China's lighting electricity accounts for about 12% of the total electricity consumption in the whole society. If all the incandescent lamps in use are replaced with energy-saving lamps, the annual energy saving will be 48 billion kWh, which is equivalent to reducing the carbon dioxide emissions by 48 million tons. The phasing out of incandescent lamps is not only conducive to accelerating the technological advancement of China's lighting electrical industry, promoting the upgrading of the lighting electrical industry structure, but also helping to achieve the "12th Five-Year Plan" energy conservation and emission reduction targets. To this end, the National Development and Reform Commission compiled the “China Roadmap for Eliminating Incandescent Lamps†and sought advice from the community. The deadline is August 22.
Or too much impact on the industry
In 2016, it is feasible to eliminate incandescent lamps. In response, the National Development and Reform Commission said that since the implementation of the green lighting project in 1996, the lighting industry has developed rapidly, and the awareness of energy conservation and emission reduction in the whole society has been significantly improved. The elimination of incandescent lamps has an industry base and a social atmosphere.
According to the National Development and Reform Commission, in 2010, the total output of China's incandescent lamps was 3.85 billion, and the annual output of more than 100 million large enterprises was about 10, accounting for more than 70% of the total output of the whole industry. In recent years, with the support of relevant national policies, these large-scale incandescent lamp manufacturers have begun to switch to high-efficiency lighting products such as energy-saving lamps, laying a foundation for a smooth transition of the industry.
In terms of energy-saving lamps, the National Development and Reform Commission introduced that in 2010, the total output of energy-saving lamps in China was about 4.26 billion, accounting for 80% of the total global production. Among them, there were about 20 enterprises with an annual output of more than 50 million, accounting for the total output of the whole industry. 82.2%. After years of hard work, the quality level of China's energy-saving lamps has been increasing, and some companies' product quality and technological level have reached the world's leading level. In addition, emerging high-efficiency lighting technologies such as semiconductor lighting are developing rapidly, and are gradually being applied in fields such as spotlights, downlights, and tunnel lights. The growing maturity of efficient lighting products and technologies provides a guarantee for the phasing out of incandescent lamps.
However, Lin Boqiang, director of the China Energy Economic Research Center of Xiamen University, accepted an interview with Nandu reporter that it is difficult for China to eliminate incandescent lamps before 2016. He analyzed that China's preliminary preparations were not sufficient, such as the transformation of technological routes, the closure of enterprises, the transformation of production, and the placement of workers, and so on.
"Now the government wants to eliminate incandescent bulbs in 4 or 5 years through mandatory administrative power. It is very difficult. It is a matter that takes a long time to complete. The government is strong enough to achieve this goal, but it needs to be paid. The cost will also be very high, and the impact on the industry will be great.†Lin Boqiang said that the elimination of incandescent lamps in western developed countries is not through administrative means, but through the continuous improvement of industry standards and the use of market forces to phase out incandescent lamp production. enterprise. Although the time is longer, the effect is very good, which is worth learning from.
LED industry welcomes good
Eliminating incandescent lamps will undoubtedly benefit the LED energy-saving lamp industry.
Xu Gang, director of sales department of Lehman Optoelectronics Lighting, told Nandu that LED energy-saving lamps are mainly used for commercial lighting and municipal buildings. The civilian market is still in the promotion stage, while traditional light sources such as incandescent lamps are the main products of civil lighting. Xu Gang said that if the incandescent lamp can be eliminated within five years, the LED industry will be several times better. Because LED lights are the best alternative to incandescent lamps, they save more power than incandescent and fluorescent lamps, and the lighting effect is better.
Wang Dianxi, vice president of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, said that as the LED lighting efficiency increases and the overall price decreases, the LED lighting market will grow rapidly. At present, LED lighting accounts for 10% of the global lighting market, and by 2015, the proportion is expected to increase to 46%.
