For the first time in 62 years, the United States is expected to become a net oil exporter
With the substantial increase in the export volume of gasoline, diesel and other petroleum-based fuels, the United States is expected to become a net exporter of petroleum products in 2011, which will be the first time in 62 years.

Data released by the U.S. Department of Energy’s intelligence agency on the 29th showed that during the first nine months of this year, the United States exported 753.4 million barrels of petroleum products, including gasoline and aviation fuel, with imports of 689.4 million barrels.
The situation that US fuel exports exceed imports is very important, because in the past decades, the United States has always been an energy-consuming country, not only importing large amounts of crude oil from the Middle East, but also importing refined fuels from Europe, Latin America, and other regions. In the first nine months of this year, the United States had six months as a net exporter of petroleum products. This trend accelerated in the third quarter. September data released on the 29th showed that the United States has a net export of 919,000 barrels of petroleum products every day, more than any other month of the year. For observers, this indicates that this year will be the first time that the United States has become a net exporter of petroleum products since 1949.
