It is reported that this new power plant will be completed in 2016, its budget is 640 million US dollars, is one of the largest environmental protection projects in Denmark. When completed, it will replace a nearby 40-year-old waste incineration plant.

Among the entire projects that deal with waste incineration power stations, the most noticeable is that they gave the project the function of a ski resort. Waste incineration power plants are also "close to the people"

In most parts of the world, waste incineration plants are always unfamiliar. In 2009, the waste incineration power station in Panyu, Guangdong Province was opposed by local residents. Although people agree with the necessity of its existence, but for psychological fear, most people find it difficult to accept similar projects near their homes.

After consulting the reporters, they found that in Denmark, there was almost no voice against the burning of waste. The waste that is burned only accounts for 24% of the total, and this part is basically wood and some plastics. Of the remaining waste, 73% will be reused, and 3% of the waste will be landfilled or subjected to special treatment.

The AMF, the oldest incineration plant in Denmark, has been in operation for 40 full years. In the company's brochure, it reads: Waste is a misplaced resource, waste is made up of organic matter, and an effective cycle should ultimately be achieved.

The AMF's annual report shows that the EU limits the maximum number of dioxin emissions to 0.1 nanograms per cubic meter of gas, while the actual amount of dioxins emitted by the AMF is 0.003 nanograms per cubic meter of gas. This also ensures that the discharged gas will not have a serious impact on the health of the surrounding residents.

In addition to integrating sustainable concepts into waste-to-energy plants, Danish designers are working hard to make traditional power plants that are already “obvious” more beautiful.

Erick van Egeraat is another famous Danish architectural institution. They designed a waste incineration power plant for Danish waste management company Kara/Noveren. This huge power plant will have a 100-meter-high spire, designed to correspond to the Roskilde Church, the most famous twin tower church in Danish history. Among them, the 6th incineration line, which looks like it was suddenly broken, is planned to be put into use in 2013 and provide local energy and heat.
