AkzoNobel launches water-based intumescent fire-retardant coating

AkzoNobel's international paint company's newly introduced water-based intumescent fire-retardant coating has passed the Chinese GB14907-2002 test and can protect steel structures in fire for up to 2.5 hours. This fire-retardant coating is free of volatile organic compounds and chlorine, and it is more cost-effective. It can also reduce the construction cost per square meter of intumescent coatings.
