The artificial diamond cutters produced by Zhang Zhongming quickly sold well. In 1985, Zhang Zhongming earned 390,000 yuan. In those days, “ten thousand households” were rare in the country.

After 1990, "Zhang Zhongming's knives" blossomed everywhere in Yanji Town, Ezhou. Then, Yanji people went to the country to invest and set up factories, and formed three “Yanji Tool Towns” in Yunfu, Guangdong, Shuitou, Fujian, and Laizhou, Shandong.

The artificial diamond tool products account for more than 60% of the national market share and have become the largest in the country. The artificial diamond tool production base, Yanji Town was also recognized as the “first town of Chinese diamond tools” by China Diamond Information Network.
