Separation of metal and plastic
Metal trap
The crushed waste is transported through pipelines. Metal scraps with a diameter of 0.75 to 1.2 mm are separated by a metal trap during the transfer process.
2. Electrostatic separator
The mixture is crushed and put into an electrostatic separator. Metals and plastics can be used to separate copper, aluminum and other metals. This method is applicable to the processing of metal-filled composite materials, cable materials and metal-plated plastics.
3. Dissolving and separating
The plastic coated metal parts are immersed in a suspension containing methylene chloride, a non-ionic surfactant, paraffin and water to dissolve the plastic coating.
4. Embrittlement separation
The metal and plastic mixed waste is cooled to the embrittlement temperature of the plastic, then crushed, and the metal is separated from the plastic by a sifter separation method.
5. Stripping of cable sheath
Wire and cable sheathing materials mainly include polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene (including cross-linked polyethylene), synthetic rubber and natural rubber. In addition to the above-mentioned electrostatic separation method, there are two methods, dry and warm, to make plastics and rubber. Effective separation of copper and aluminum core wire.
(1) Dry separation: Use a far-infrared device to evenly heat the inside of the cable, and then manually peel the skin.
(2) Wet separation: The aluminum wire is immersed in the penetrating agent (surfactant) solution, heated to 70-90 degrees and peeled off. Then, the organic solvent is used to clean the skin several times and the tar is completely removed.
