According to statistics, in 2010, Ningbo Customs continuously seized many export products suspected of infringing intellectual property rights in the export cargo channel. Surprisingly, the infringed goods were not foreign “big names” but domestic famous brands.

In August, when Ningbo Customs inspected a batch of unlicensed padlocks exported by a company, it was found that the batches of different sizes of padlocks were engraved with the "three-ring graphic" trademark. Sanhuan Lock Industry Group Co., Ltd. is a large-scale professional lock enterprise group. The “Sanhuan” brand is an influential brand in the Chinese lock industry and has been filed in the customs intellectual property system. Immediately, Ningbo Customs immediately passed the active protection measures for intellectual property rights, temporarily detained the batch of padlocks, and notified the right holders. After confirmation by the right holder, all the padlocks are pirated goods.

Xie Weikun, chairman of Sanhuan Co., said that the pirated three-ring locks have not only caused price fluctuations, market chaos, and export obstruction, which has caused enterprises to suffer economic losses. "More importantly, counterfeit products are not qualified, and the company's reputation will be damaged. Can't stand in the international market."

The relevant person in charge of Ningbo Customs said that many domestic brands tried to “go out”, but on the road of “going out”, being counterfeited and infringed is becoming a roadblock for high-quality domestic brands to open up new markets.

Recently, Ningbo Customs has successively seized 2 batches of padlocks infringing the trademark rights of “Three Rings and Graphics”, totaling 1,688 boxes and 286,200, involving a value of 1.43 million yuan. According to reports, the goods were seized in a batch of goods whose product name was “tile”. The right holder Yantai Sanhuan Lock Industry Group Co., Ltd. confirmed that these two batches of huge padlocks are infringing products. Since the beginning of this year, Ningbo Customs has intercepted 10 batches of fake three-ring padlocks, with a total of more than 580,000. Estimated by market price, the amount is up to more than 600 million yuan.
