According to Barcroft TV's website on May 30th, photojournalist Zakir Hossain Chowdhury disguised himself as a visitor to Bangladesh’s aluminum products factory and took risks from the factory owner’s discovery of the hard work of child laborers in the factory.

Zakir said: "I know this factory since 2013, but the boss will not allow me to enter because they know they are illegally using child labor and have not given these child labor protective clothing."

“The factory environment is very poor, the temperature is high, the aluminum powder in the air is flying, and it gets into my nose, school bags, cameras and clothes. It is hard to imagine how these children would not wear masks here.”

According to ILO surveys, more than 158 million children in the world are forced to become child labourers, and half of these child laborers work in dangerous environments.

The Office of Toxic Substances and Diseases Registries pointed out that medical studies have shown that children who ingest large amounts of aluminum can cause brain and bone diseases.

X-rays show that a large amount of human lungs that inhale aluminum powder changes, causing coughing and shortness of breath. Studies have also shown that people exposed to high concentrations of aluminum may develop Alzheimer's disease (Alzheimer's disease).

Zakir said: "I want to show these children's work environment. You can see their hands and nails covered with silver stains. They don't have masks, gloves and protective clothing. The accident can happen at any time.

“The youngest child is only seven years old. He works there with his brother and father. The father is not interested in whether he and his brothers are educated. It is his ultimate goal to let the children control their machines independently. The children and them The family does not know about the health problems that this work brings. They eat with stained hands."

Zakir said: “The economic situation in Bangladesh cannot solve the problem of child labor. It is impossible to completely ban child labor. The families of these children need their income. Children have no choice but to work. If the government really prohibits child labor, their living standards will decline. A lot, the economy will be worse."
