Australia cancels the investigation of hollow structural steels in China
On August 23, 2010, the Australian Customs issued an announcement saying that because there was no evidence that the hollow structural steel imported from China and Malaysia caused material damage to the domestic industry, it decided to cancel the anti-dumping measures against hollow structural steel products originating in China and Malaysia. Investigations and countervailing investigations on hollow structural steel products originating in China. The product codes involved in the product are 73063000, 73066100, and 73066900.
In December 2008, Australia conducted anti-dumping investigations on hollow structural steel products originating in China and Malaysia; in June 2009, Australia made a no-damage ruling on the case. On June 19, 2009, OneSteel Australian Tube Mills Pty Ltd. and Orrcon Operations Pty Ltd. submitted an application to the Australian Department of Justice’s Trade Measures Reconsideration Office requesting Australian Customs And the Bureau of Border Protection concluded a review of the ruling on anti-dumping investigations of hollow structural steel products originating in China; on August 21, 2009, the Australian Department of Justice's Trade Reconsideration Office cancelled the termination of the Australian Customs and Border Protection Agency. China's hollow structural steel products were rulinged by anti-dumping investigations. On September 9, 2009, the Australian Customs issued an announcement deciding to restart anti-dumping investigations on hollow structural steel products originating in China and Malaysia.
