At present, in the competition of various fieldbuses, COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) communication technology represented by Ethernet is becoming a new bright spot in the development of fieldbus. Its focus is mainly on two aspects:
(1) Whether there can be a unified fieldbus standard worldwide;
(2) Can the fieldbus system completely replace the current DCS system that is popular in the world.
The fieldbus technology is used to construct a low-cost fieldbus control system, which promotes the intelligentization of field instruments, the decentralization of control functions, and the openness of control systems, in line with the technological development trend of industrial control systems. In order to speed up the development of fieldbus technology in China during the “Ninth Five-Year Plan†period, the state focused on the development and engineering of intelligent instrumentation and fieldbus technology, supplementing and perfecting process equipment, developing devices and test devices, and establishing intelligent instruments. And the development of the production base of the automation system to form a moderate scale economy. In 2000, the “Ninth Five-Year†National Science and Technology Research Program “Research and Development of a New Generation of Fully Distributed Control Systems†and “Fieldbus Intelligent Instrument Research and Development†were completed.
These two projects, as well as the pre-completed "Development of Fieldbus Control System" project, focus on the HART protocol and FF protocol fieldbus technology for the coexistence of various fieldbus protocols that have emerged internationally.
In short, the development of computer control systems will go to the fieldbus control system (FCS) after going through the base-type pneumatic instrument control system, the electric unit combined analog instrument control system, the centralized digital control system and the distributed control system (DCS). The direction of development. Although fieldbus-based FCS is developing rapidly, there is still much work to be done in FCS development, such as unified standards and instrument intelligence. In addition, the maintenance and modification of the traditional control system also requires DCS, so the FCS completely replaces the traditional DCS and needs a long process, and the DCS itself is constantly developing and perfecting. What is certain is that FCS, which combines new technologies such as DCS, industrial Ethernet, and advanced control, will have a strong vitality. Industrial Ethernet and fieldbus technology, as a flexible, convenient and reliable data transmission method, have been used more and more in the industrial field and will occupy a more important position in the control field.
Five, instrumentation technology
After 50 years of development in the direction of digitization, intelligence, networking and miniaturization, China's instrumentation industry has a fairly basic foundation, and initially formed a relatively complete production, research and marketing system. There are more than 6,000 instruments and meters of various types, with annual sales of about 100 billion yuan, making it the second largest instrument and meter producer in Asia except Japan. According to customs statistics, except for the instruments and meters introduced with the complete set of projects, the import of various instruments and meters last year was nearly 6 billion US dollars, accounting for about 50% of the total output value of China's instrumentation industry. However, most of China's instrumentation industry products are at the middle and low level. With the internationalization of digital, intelligent, networked and miniaturized products, the gap will further increase. At present, most of China's high-end, large-scale instruments and equipment rely on imports. For mid-range products and many key components, foreign products account for more than 60% of the domestic market, while domestic analytical instruments account for less than two-thousandths of the global market.
In March 2001, the Outline of the 10th Five-Year Plan approved by the Fourth Session of the Ninth National People's Congress first proposed "to develop CNC machine tools, instrumentation and basic components in important positions, and strive to improve quality and technical level." In August 2001, the State Planning Commission clearly listed instruments and meters as important technical equipment for the national economy, and the “10th Five-Year Plan†for the instrumentation industry formulated and announced by the State Economic and Trade Commission, and established 6 high-tech industrialization projects:
1. Full open decentralized control system and intelligent instrument based on fieldbus technology;
2. New sensor;
3. Intelligent industrial control components and actuators;
4. Environmental and pollution source monitoring instruments and automatic monitoring systems;
5. Instrument automatic control system in the complete set of process equipment for urban sewage treatment;
6. Instrument automatic control system in steelmaking converter gas purification rotary complete set.
