Henan Province: Open tender for independent innovation funds

The Provincial Department of Finance and other departments recently signed contracts with Luoyang Zhongsi High-Tech Co., Ltd., Henan Huanghe Industrial Group, Xuji Group, Rebecca Hair Products Co., Ltd. and CITIC Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. to support the use of independent innovation funds. The independent research and development projects won by these five companies won support funds of 4.5 million yuan, 4 million yuan, 3 million yuan, 4 million yuan and 4.5 million yuan respectively. Currently, all funds have been paid in place.

This year, Henan Province set up a self-innovation fund for supporting enterprises for the first time. The provincial budget allocated 20 million yuan, focusing on encouraging and guiding enterprises to enhance their independent research and development capabilities and foster core technologies.

The Provincial Department of Finance, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and the Provincial Science and Technology Department, in accordance with the requirements of the provincial government's “innovative use of innovative funds”, first adopted the open bidding method to determine support projects, and this year's innovation funds were concentrated on supporting silicon materials preparation technology and superhard materials. Within 20 working days of the tender announcement, 11 projects of 10 enterprises have been bidding. A random sample of 25 experts from Henan Province was selected for review. It is understood that the research and development technologies of the five entry options have reached the domestic leading level.
